The Women

Check out some pictues of the women working, and read a little bit about who they are.  Periodically, we will add and change pictures so you can see more of the women who make the products you see on this website.  Also, each item comes with not only a product description, but also a short story of the woman who made your product.

Charito and Roberta.

Here are Charito and Roberta measuring out cell phone covers.  Roberta lives with her son who is now in the university.  She has a small buisiness making curtains from her house.  Roberta helped teach our first sewing class and gives many ideas to the Cooperative.

Charito is the pastor of our Church.  She works tirelessly in encouraging the women.  She is a huge blessing not only to our Cooperative and Church, but also to the neighborhood.

Rosa.

Rosa sewing coin purses.  Rosa is a wonderful addition to the Cooperative.  She enjoys working and looks forward to meeting with the women each week.  She lives with her children across the street from the Church.  Her husband works in Chile and comes to visit every 3-4 months.

Romualda.

Romualda lives with her husband and two daughters.  Her husband works construction, but work is hardly ever something that is consistent.  When Romualda began making Co-op items, she shared that it had been her dream to use her sewing machine to make a living.  She enjoys her work with the Co-op, and hopes to even one day have her own sewing business.
